Alert Groups

Overview

An alert group is a set of alert contacts; monitors always notify groups, never individual contacts.

Fields

• Name: e.g. Ops on call or Order team.
• Description: optional.
• Contacts: pick the members in the transfer list; a contact can belong to several groups.

Notes

• Organize groups by business line or on-call rota and attach only the relevant groups to each monitor so that nobody receives every alert.
• Make sure no monitor uses a group before deleting it.
